The Role
Our client is seeking a Physical Therapist to join their team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is a full-time permanent junior-level position, making it an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or early-career PT looking to build clinical skills within a supportive, patient-centred environment. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive physical therapy services across a diverse patient caseload, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualised, goal-directed physical therapy treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based PT interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training
- Administer physical agents such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and moist heat/cold therapy as clinically indicated
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans in response to clinical findings and patient goals
- Evaluate and recommend assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programmes
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and payer requirements
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader care team to coordinate patient care and support discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and departmental development activities
- Direct and supervise PTAs and rehab aides as assigned
Requirements
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited programme
- Active New Mexico Physical Therapist licence or eligibility for NM licensure prior to start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification current
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Clinical placement or internship experience in an outpatient, acute care, or rehabilitation setting
- Master's degree or DPT advantageous but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centred, evidence-based approach to care
- EMR documentation experience
Compensation
- Base salary: $71,200 $92,000 per annum placement within range based on experience
