Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) – Travel Contract

Lewiston, Maine
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Business hours with weekend rotation | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients within an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) setting
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional goals
- Document patient progress and clinical notes utilizing Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and state licensure requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Experience working in an acute care, rehabilitation, or ARU setting
- Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of physical therapy experience preferred
- Prior travel therapy or multi-site clinical experience
- Familiarity with acute rehabilitation unit workflows and patient populations
