Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Temporary / Part-Time)

Part-Time, Contract | Days Shift | Onsite

• Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
• Develop goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance, coordinated with physician orders.
• Submit and maintain written treatment plans as part of the physician-authorized plan of care, updating as patient status changes.
• Devise frequency- and duration-specific treatment schedules in coordination with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding their condition, prognosis, treatment rationale, and interventions including exercise and modalities.
• Delegate appropriate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides, co-signing verbal orders received by the PTA as necessary.

• Active Michigan Physical Therapist license (verified Active status required).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated Physical Therapy clinical experience.
• Outpatient Physical Therapy experience.
• Current Skills Checklist pertinent to Physical Therapy (completed within the past year).
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.

• Acute care experience is highly preferred.
• Experience delegating to and coordinating with Physical Therapist Assistants and therapy aides.

• Work within a collaborative, patient-centered outpatient environment that emphasizes a holistic approach to care.
• Gain valuable contract experience in a well-supported clinical setting in northern Michigan.
