Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Monday–Friday, Five 8-Hour Shifts with Two Evenings Until 6:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities.
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels to maximize quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain).
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation including goal writing, medical necessity letters, and charge entry in compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience or coursework in outpatient orthopedics.
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated involvement in continuing education and professional development activities.
