Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned outpatient patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction (60-minute evaluations / 45-minute treatments)
- Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, designing functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, including supervision, learning objective development, and student evaluations
- Adhere to state Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all continuing education obligations
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Demonstrated competency in outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatment
- Ability to maintain compliance with state, federal, and organizational documentation and billing standards
- Commitment to patient and employee safety practices including safe patient handling and infection control protocols
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an outpatient therapy setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
- Active involvement in professional development, continuing education, or professional organizations
