Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks with option to extend | Days | Monday–Wednesday–Thursday 8:00 AM–7:00 PM (10-hour shifts); Tuesday–Friday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM (some flexibility)

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring design of functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision, development of learning objectives, and completion of student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory agency requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing all state-mandated continuing education requirements
  • Actively contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives
  • Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
