Key Responsibilities

• Interpret physician orders, evaluate patients, and formulate individualized treatment plans with long and short term goals
• Monitor and interpret patient response to treatment and modify plans to meet current patient needs
• Participate in discharge planning and develop and instruct patients in home exercise programs
• Document treatment results and patient responses accurately in medical records
• Supervise and assist physical therapy students during clinical rotations as applicable based on experience
• Maintain and clean department equipment to ensure safe and proper operation

Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy
• Current Physical Therapist license from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to adjust and operate therapy equipment to meet individual patient needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to guide patients in taking responsibility for their treatment and progress
