Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week | Day Shift with one evening until 5:30 PM | Outpatient
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations; maintain an individualized professional development plan
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
Experience in orthopedic physical therapy
Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer requirements
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to professional and ethical standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
