Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy services across inpatient hospital settings including orthopedic, neurological, trauma, and post-surgical units
Evaluate patients' physical and functional status and establish individualized therapy goals
Formulate and implement treatment plans consistent with established goals
Observe, assess, and document patient status and progress accurately
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary treatment team members regarding patient condition and care
Supervise and assist therapy technicians and assistants in resolving patient care challenges
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (required for those licensed after 2016; those licensed prior to 2016 may qualify under prior licensure requirements with a bachelor's or master's degree)
Active Illinois Physical Therapy license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office software
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in ICU or critical care inpatient environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to process and document detailed clinical information accurately
