Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans and select appropriate modalities to meet established patient goals in compliance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and applicable licensing and accreditation standards.
- Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans based on age-specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs.
- Provide safe and comprehensive discharge planning and assist in monitoring patient progress toward goals.
- Maintain thorough, timely, legible, and consistent patient care documentation.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and coordination to maximize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and mentoring for student interns as assigned and participate in special department programs.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
- Active Physical Therapy license issued by the PT Board of the State of California.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Demonstrated ability to administer department modalities, programs, and protocols appropriate to the age of patients served.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly exchange information with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Prior inpatient acute care physical therapy experience.
- Experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
