Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments; design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients; ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements; actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of California
- Outpatient Physical Therapy experience required (new graduates will not be considered)
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Proficiency in clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and State Practice Act
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience participating in student clinical education programs
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
- Involvement in professional organizations or ongoing continuing education beyond state-mandated requirements
