Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Minnesota
• Orthopedic physical therapy experience required
• Prior clinical experience required; new graduates will not be considered
• Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to safe patient handling practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
• Active involvement in professional development activities or physical therapy organizations
