Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and establish individualized plans of care with clearly identified goals, anticipated progress, and reevaluation timelines.
• Administer manual exercises and physical therapy interventions; instruct and assist patients in performing physical activities and using assistive or supportive devices.
• Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatment plans to achieve maximum patient benefit.
• Discuss evaluations, goals, and treatment plans with patients and their families.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) in accordance with organizational policy and applicable state regulations.
• Complete billing documentation accurately by end of each business day and participate in quality process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required.
• For licensure obtained prior to 2016, a bachelor's or master's degree in Physical Therapy is acceptable; for licensure from 2016 onward, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain).
• Ability to provide direct patient care in a pediatric outpatient setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with pediatric patient populations in an outpatient setting.
• Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
• Familiarity with providing in-service education programs for clinical or nursing personnel.
