Opportunity:
PT - Physical Therapist
Job Details:
• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 5 days per week, full-time schedule
• Weekend requirement: Friday through Tuesday shift schedule
• No on-call requirement
• Floating requirement to Inpatient Rehab/Acute settings
• Uniform top is issued as part of dress code
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university required
• Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by a Physical Therapist required
• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine physical and cognitive status of inpatients and outpatients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families
• Maintain thorough documentation including initial patient evaluations, daily and weekly progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Participate in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service programs, and departmental meetings
• Counsel patients, families, and other involved individuals regarding evaluation, care, and treatment
• Initiate and complete discharge planning in a timely manner and provide effective education and training
• Assist with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs
• Assist with orientation of new associates and scheduling of patients to ensure quality coverage
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and maintain departmental productivity standards
• Maintain awareness of community agencies to make appropriate referrals and increase knowledge of community resources
• Demonstrate competence in age-specific, developmental, and population-specific patient care
