Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
  • Guide, monitor, and document all aspects of patient care including follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
  • Communicate and coordinate with physicians, front office staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable federal and state requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Active Physical Therapist license in California, or eligibility to obtain licensure in the near future
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, ICD-10 coding, and PT billing procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist patients with transfers, mobility, and ambulation safety
  • Ability to remain physically mobile, including standing, walking, and sitting for 8–10 hour shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Participation in continuing education courses relevant to physical therapy practice
  • Familiarity with various payer types including Medicare, workers' compensation, auto, and private pay
