Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs in an outpatient clinic setting
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
- Guide, monitor, and document all aspects of patient care including follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
- Communicate and coordinate with physicians, front office staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable federal and state requirements
Required Qualifications- Degree in Physical Therapy
- Active Physical Therapist license in California, or eligibility to obtain licensure in the near future
- Proficiency with EMR systems, ICD-10 coding, and PT billing procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist patients with transfers, mobility, and ambulation safety
- Ability to remain physically mobile, including standing, walking, and sitting for 8–10 hour shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills- Participation in continuing education courses relevant to physical therapy practice
- Familiarity with various payer types including Medicare, workers' compensation, auto, and private pay
