Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Travel Contract)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform evaluations and deliver individualized treatment plans utilizing manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for a diverse outpatient caseload
  • Treat patients with varying diagnoses including post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance and vertigo issues, and neurological disorders
  • Provide gait training, balance training, and fall prevention programming
  • Manage an outpatient caseload of approximately 8 patients per day Monday through Thursday and 6 patients on Fridays
  • Collaborate with PTAs as needed and flex to inpatient PT coverage when required
  • Participate in patient education and individualized rehabilitative programming
Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program – required
  • Minimum 2 years of current, active Physical Therapy experience (new graduates will not be considered)
  • Active Vermont Physical Therapy license or compact licensure eligibility
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
  • Must have reliable personal transportation (area does not have public transit)
  • Must be able to treat all diagnoses commonly seen in outpatient clinic settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Previous travel therapy assignment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with CPSI EMR system highly preferred
  • Prior experience working alongside PTAs preferred
  • Background in inpatient rehabilitation settings a plus
