Hold license as aPhysical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work Maintain and update PTskills and certifications as necessary Evaluate and treatpatients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs Utilize ElectronicMedical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries forpatient files Guide & monitorpatient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up Supervise PT Assistantsand Aides regarding all aspects of patient care Communicate withphysicians and other persons to insure quality patient care Correspond withco-workers & other offices via phone, fax & email Be responsible foraccurate patient chart documentation & follow-up re: prescriptions, testresults, authorizations etc. Make sure patients arecomfortable and answer questions when necessary. Work closely with thefront office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up. Have computer skillsnecessary to complete job requirements i.e. typing, Word, Internet, EMR, etc. Be able to makeindependent decisions regarding patient care Be involved in thebusiness marketing & referral process when necessary Be responsible forfollowing HIPAA policy & procedure Be familiar with PTbilling policy & procedure re: Medicare work-comp, private, auto, liens,cash pay etc. Be proficient in DX andICD-10 coding for the billing of services Be able to be physicalmobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standingfor 8-10 hour work days, based on patient care schedule. Be able to lift 50pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patientswith transferring, and providing stand by assistance and recovery with patientwalking safety. Supervisory position supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patientcare. Work Environment: This position works in the patient physical therapy clinic anoutpatient/rehabilitation setting.
