Key Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions utilizing appropriate tools, techniques, and safeguards for clients/patients/residents across varying diagnoses and disorders of all ages.
• Conduct evaluations, establish therapeutic treatment plans, and modify plans as clinically necessary.
• Educate patients and their family members on treatment plans, schedules, and home exercise programs.
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and all regulatory requirements using computerized charting (One Chart).
• Incorporate knowledge of current research and age-appropriate treatments into daily patient care.
• Provide coverage primarily in an outpatient hospital-based setting, with some inpatient and sub-acute coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of South Dakota.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional physical therapy organizations.
• Proficiency or ability to learn computerized charting systems and modality equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an outpatient hospital-based setting.
• Familiarity with sub-acute or inpatient physical therapy environments.
