Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Perform medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing
Required Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (new graduates welcome)
  • Ability to conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and state practice acts
  • Commitment to patient safety, safe patient handling practices, and infection control standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience or clinical rotations in an outpatient therapy setting
  • Familiarity with functional quality indicators, outcomes tracking, and performance improvement methodologies
  • Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
