Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Conduct 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions, designing functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements, and actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas
- Compliance with all state-mandated continuing education requirements
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethical standards
- Proficiency in clinical documentation including goal writing and medical necessity letters
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
