Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,259 to $1,459 per week in Silver Spring, MD

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Maryland PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
• Demonstrated competency with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, iontophoresis, TENS, hot/cold packs, and paraffin preferred.
• Experience training patients in use of assistive devices (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs) and gait training preferred.
• Ability to implement treatment goals and interventions as established by the Physical Therapist and to document patient progress accurately.
• Ability to adhere to safety, infection control, and equipment handling procedures.
