Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5×8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$1300 to $1500
Responsibilities
Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness
Administer therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, mobility training, and other rehabilitation interventions
Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment responses to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety precautions
Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and proper use of assistive devices
Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure therapy equipment is clean, organized, and functioning properly
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Follow infection prevention guidelines, patient safety standards, and facility policies
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that supports optimal recovery and functional independence
Requirements
Active Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Minimum 2 years of recent PTA experience
Current BLS Certification required
Experience in outpatient, inpatient, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings preferred
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient mobility training
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to work independently under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
