Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,328 to $1,528 per week in Encino, CA

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active California PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred.
• Ability to manage a high patient volume, typically 16–18 patients per day, providing 1:1 hands-on care.
• Comfortable treating a wide age range from teens through geriatrics and providing follow-up care and progress reporting; initial evaluations are completed by a designated PT.
• Must be hands-on and able to perform manual therapy techniques as applicable. (Preferred)

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Outpatient clinic.
• Patient focus: Mostly orthopedic caseload; no pelvic or wheelchair-bound primary caseload.
• Patient ratio: 1:1 patient care model.
• Typical patient volume: Approximately 16–18 patients per day.
• All follow-up visits and progress reports are completed by the PTA; initial evaluations are completed by a designated PT.
