Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,440 per week in Potosi, MO

Job Summary (List Format):

- Provide skilled physical therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
- Implement and carry out individualized treatment plans developed by the PT to address residents mobility, strength, balance, and functional needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
- Observe residents responses to treatment, reporting progress and any changes in condition to the supervising PT.
- Assist with resident assessments and contribute to care planning and documentation as needed.
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and techniques to promote safety and independence outside therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment and assistive devices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in team meetings to support coordinated resident care.
- Adhere to state, federal, and facility regulations as well as professional and ethical standards.
- Maintain current PTA licensure, continuing education, and up-to-date knowledge of best practices.
- Work in a collaborative, fast-paced SNF/long-term care environment, requiring physical activity such as standing, lifting, and assisting residents.
