Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
  • Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Florida.
  • CPR certification (BLS – Healthcare Provider).
  • Minimum 1 year PTA experience. Home health experience preferred.
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR preferred.
  • Ability to document timely, using measurable and objective clinical content compliant with Medicare and agency standards.
  • Maintain licensure, competencies, and regulatory compliance according to Florida practice acts, agency policy, and payer requirements.
  • Preferred: prior home health experience and demonstrated skills in therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Home Health.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Shift details: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00 (visit schedule may reflect Monday–Friday 08:00–16:30 per client schedule).
  • Weekly hours: 36–40 hours per week guarantee.
  • On call/weekend requirement: No.
  • Coverage area: Orange County, FL. Mileage reimbursed between visits from first patient to last patient.
  • Primary responsibilities: provide skilled PTA treatments in patients’ homes per Plan of Care; implement therapeutic exercise, gait/balance/transfer training; assess and document patient response and progress; communicate changes to supervising PT; follow infection control and safety precautions; educate patients and caregivers; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
  • Documentation: timely EMR documentation required. HCHB experience preferred.
