Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in South Carolina is required to start the assignment.
• Proof of current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance are required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, including experience providing care in home health or comparable community-based settings is required.
• Ability to perform non-complex active and passive therapeutic exercises and modalities commonly used in home health practice.
• Ability to complete timely and accurate clinical documentation and submit paperwork to the office each week.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for prolonged periods as required for home visits.
• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Preferred: Experience working with geriatric populations and knowledge of home health billing and third-party payer documentation requirements.
