Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,578 per week in Purcell, OK

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Physical Therapist Assistant Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours, M-F Experience: 1+ years of PTA experience in Long Term Care or Rehabilitation License: Active State Licensure Certifications: Must have an active PTA license Description: Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including but not limited to: manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities. Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record. Reports the effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to supervisor for discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. Engages in facility and company-required training, in-services, and conferences. Works with supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Supervises and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist. Adheres to professional practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics during the role of Physical Therapist Assistant.
