Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,620 per week in Rockland, MA

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Physical Therapist Assistant Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year of PTA experience License: PTA license required Description: Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including but not limited to manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities. Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly. Reports the effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with the supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to the supervisor for the discharge summary of services provided. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system. Maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. Participates in facility and company-required training, in-services, and conferences. Works with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary equipment or supplies as per regulatory requirements. Supervises and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist. Adheres to professional practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Maintains active State Licensure when applicable.
