Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,627 per week in Potosi, MO

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year of PTA experience, LTC or Rehab experience License: PTA license Certifications: Active State Licensure Must-Have: - 1 year of PTA experience - LTC or Rehab experience - PTA license Description: Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including, but not limited to, manual techniques; ambulation; therapeutic exercises; modalities; and use of supportive and assistive devices. Assesses patients' progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record. Reports the effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with the supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to the supervisor for the discharge summary of services provided. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system. Maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided. Participates in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings. Participates in required trainings, in-services, and conferences. Works with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies. Supervises and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist. Adheres to practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Maintains active state licensure when applicable.
