AlliedTravelCareers is working with Towne U.S. LLC to find a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Columbia, Tennessee, 38401!
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and overall functional independence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapy professional to expand their clinical experience while working in a new healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to providing exceptional, evidence-based care.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, endurance, balance, and functional independence
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and safety strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Assist with discharge planning and provide updates regarding patient progress and functional status
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals
Requirements
Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Required: Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
Preferred: Previous clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, and patient populations
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist
