This Physical Therapist Assistant position is based in Seattle, Washington, a dynamic coastal city renowned for its natural beauty, thriving culture and active lifestyle. The clinic is part of a large, established outpatient rehabilitation network with a strong focus on personalized care, sports medicine and comprehensive physical therapy services. As a PTA here, you will work in a modern outpatient setting designed to support active, engaging treatment sessions. In this role, you will assist licensed Physical Therapists in delivering evidence-based care to diverse patient populations. A typical day may include performing delegated interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual techniques as directed, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education and functional activities tailored to each patient’s plan of care. You will progress exercise programs, provide patient education on home exercise and self-management strategies, and document all interventions in the electronic medical record system. Caseloads commonly include post-operative orthopedic patients, sports injuries, work-related musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain and general musculoskeletal complaints.
You can expect a structured schedule with primarily daytime and early evening hours, supporting patients before and after work while preserving work-life balance. Shifts are typically weekday-focused, with occasional flexibility depending on clinic hours and patient demand. Patient volume and ratios are designed to allow attentive, high-quality care, with support from front office staff and rehabilitation aides to help manage scheduling and clinic flow.
The clinic culture emphasizes support for early-career and experienced PTAs alike. Newer PTAs can benefit from working closely with seasoned Physical Therapists and colleagues who value mentorship, case discussion and continued skill development. More experienced PTAs may have opportunities to take on complex cases, sports-focused caseloads or leadership responsibilities within the care team.
