We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical experience while working with a collaborative rehabilitation team in a new healthcare setting. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, and functional mobility interventions
  • Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and injury prevention
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Assist in discharge planning by providing feedback on patient progress and recommendations for continued therapy
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving mobility, restoring function, and maximizing independence
Requirements
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Required: Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new clinical environments
