Job Title: PTA Home Health Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State licensed PTA required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Previous home care experience - Strong critical thinking skills - Assessment and communication skills - Ability to collaborate with the PT - Knowledge of organizational skills - Efficiency and time management skills - Flexibility Description: The position involves providing physical therapy assistance in a home health setting. Clinicians will work with a maximum patient ratio of 1:6. Experience in geriatrics, cardiopulmonary care, medical surgical, and orthopedics is required. Skills needed include proficiency in adaptive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain assessment, and skin integrity monitoring. Additional responsibilities involve patient family education, scheduling appointments, and managing medications. Travelers will have support from interdisciplinary teams. Maintaining a professional appearance is mandatory. Weekend work is not required for this position. The role does not require being on-call or floating outside of the scope of practice.
