JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 15-week travel assignment in Bowie, Maryland. The PTA will support physical therapy services in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, assisting patients in improving mobility, strength, and functional independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

This role involves implementing treatment plans, supporting patient rehabilitation activities, and documenting patient progress to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
Support patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist with patient transfers, gait training, and rehabilitation exercises
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Educate patients on exercises and recovery techniques
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with facility and rehabilitation standards


REQUIREMENTS

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license (Maryland or eligible state licensure)
Minimum 1 year of PTA experience preferred
Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a collaborative healthcare environment
Commitment to patient-centered rehabilitative care
