Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year home health experience required License: VA PTA license required; compact license accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Home health experience - Eligible for compact licensure Description: This position is open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience. The role does not require reporting to a home base before or after shifts. Expect driving of 45-60 miles per day. The facility will have a caseload of 5 patients per day. No weekends are required, and the office is closed for major holidays. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate. Oasis and home health experience is required. Complications may arise if a candidate has charges against them or requires extra verification. Travelers will be covering designated locations, with variations in patient load. Orientation will involve an extensive overview of the home health procedures. Candidates must provide one supervisory reference upon application. All candidates should be familiar with charting systems, particularly EPIC. Prior employees must have left for at least 6 months to be considered for rehire. Time off requests should be kept to a minimum during the assignment. Specialty experience within the past year is mandatory.
