Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a rehabilitation contract assignment in a skilled nursing setting. The PTA will support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate documentation and supporting rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to patients
Monitor and report patient progress to supervising Physical Therapist
Document therapy sessions accurately and timely
Educate patients on exercises and recovery techniques
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain a safe and supportive rehabilitation environment
Support patient functional independence goals
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active PTA license in the state of Maryland
Rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
