Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Inpatient Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Minnesota license required (can apply for a temporary license) Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience with charting in EPIC preferred Description: Looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to work day shifts. The position requires commitment to work every 4th weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Travelers must be 25+ miles away from the facility. Candidates must apply for a Minnesota license once offered. BLS certification is necessary. First-time travelers are accepted. Required skills include Acute Care, Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Call lights, Cardiopulmonary care, Cognitive disorders, Congestive Heart Failure, Gait training, Multiple Sclerosis, Client, Orthopedics, Post Stroke Rehabilitation, and Vital Sign monitoring. The unit provides care for adults and geriatric patients. Patient diagnoses include total joint replacements, polytrauma, stroke, TBI, general medical conditions, and post-surgical patients. All documents must be completed before the start of the assignment. Travelers are required to work during holidays. Candidates must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing the contract. Fingerprinting must be completed in person in Minnesota before the start date.
