Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,986 per week in Morehead, KY

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Home Health Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PTA Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience preferred License: Current PTA license in good standing Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program - Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills - Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance Description: Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the established plan of care. Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, safety, and functional independence within the home environment. Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients, family members, and caregivers regarding home exercise programs, safety strategies, fall prevention, and use of adaptive equipment. Travel throughout the designated service area to provide patient care in homes and community settings. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary home health team, including nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, and home health aides, to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation according to agency, state, federal, and payer requirements. Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education opportunities. Home health experience preferred but not required.
