    Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.
    • Administer a variety of procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
    • Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly in the clinical record.
    • Document all required clinical and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes per applicable requirements.
    • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders.
    • Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as facility and company required trainings and in-services.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Oklahoma.
    • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, or new graduate with completed Level II clinical experience.
    • Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings.
    • Adherence to APTA standards, state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics.
    • Current skills checklist completed within the past year.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience supervising or supporting students in a clinical setting under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
    • Familiarity with DME procurement processes and coordination within a clinical care team.
