    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening, endurance, balance, coordination, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training
    • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices; demonstrate proper guarding techniques and safety awareness
    • Administer therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, hot/cold packs, whirlpools, paraffin bath, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and TENS
    • Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary; document patient progress and response to treatment on a weekly basis
    • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe mobility, transfers, positioning, exercise, and proper body mechanics
    • Participate in team conferences, in-service education, and continuing education to maintain current professional standards
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Virginia
    • Ability to implement PT treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
    • Knowledge of safe patient handling, infection control protocols, and workplace safety standards
    • Compliance with all facility policies, procedures, attendance, and professional appearance standards
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with a broad range of therapeutic modalities and assistive/adaptive equipment
    • Experience providing patient and family education on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
