Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing patient treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to support patient recovery and functional goals
- Document patient progress and treatment sessions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and progress
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional activities
Required Qualifications
- Active PTA license in the state of South Dakota (or compact eligibility)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation systems
