Key Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to support patient recovery and functional improvement
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional techniques
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Ability to fulfill a 35-hour weekly guarantee for the duration of the contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a contract or travel therapy setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations
