    Contract | 13 Weeks | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Outpatient | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
    • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs; demonstrate proper guarding techniques and safety awareness.
    • Apply and demonstrate therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, hot/cold packs, whirlpools, paraffin bath, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and TENS units.
    • Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary; document patient progress, response to treatment, and patient and family education.
    • Educate patients and families on proper body mechanics and prescribed equipment use.
    • Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment; adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Georgia.
    • Ability to implement physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
    • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and safe patient handling techniques.
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards in an outpatient clinical setting.
    • Strong documentation skills for tracking patient progress and treatment response.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • New graduates are welcome to apply; no prior professional experience required.
    • Experience or coursework in outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation settings is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
