Key Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic interventions to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Document patient progress, treatment notes, and updates to care plans in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and progress
• Assist in educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional techniques

Required Qualifications

• Active PTA license in the state of Ohio (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with geriatric populations
