Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing patient treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions to residents in a skilled nursing setting
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting updates to the supervising PT
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Maryland
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
- Familiarity with geriatric patient populations
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
