    Description

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services to help patients improve mobility, restore function, increase strength, and maximize independence.

    This travel opportunity offers the chance to expand your clinical experience while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitative care to residents recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or age-related conditions.

    Responsibilities
    • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
    • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, strengthening exercises, and functional mobility interventions
    • Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
    • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and safe transfer strategies
    • Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory requirements
    • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
    • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and assist with discharge planning
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
    • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving mobility, restoring function, and enhancing quality of life
    Requirements
    • Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
    • Required: Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
    • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care experience
    • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
