Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient
Location
Lawton, OK
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | Monday through Friday with occasional weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments to outpatient patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement established treatment plans and adjust techniques as appropriate based on patient progress
- Document patient care, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Oklahoma or ability to obtain prior to start
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience working in an outpatient or hospital-based outpatient setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation systems
