Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite / Field-Based (Home Health)
Key Responsibilities- Perform home health visits including Start of Care (SOC), Resumption of Care (ROC), recertifications, evaluations, and routine visits
- Treat an average of 6.5 patients per day across assigned home health territory
- Work with patients presenting with diagnoses such as CHF, orthopedic conditions, and pneumonia
- Operate on a 5-day, 8-hour day schedule with rotating weekend coverage (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Participate in holiday rotation as required
- Utilize a company-provided phone and tablet to support field-based documentation and communication
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to independently conduct SOC, ROC, recertification, evaluation, and daily visits
- Willingness to participate in rotating weekend and holiday schedules
- Comfortable working in a home health / field-based setting
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience as a traveling PTA preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
- Experience treating patients with CHF, orthopedic, or pulmonary diagnoses in a home health setting
- Candidates beyond new graduate status preferred
