    Physical Therapist Assistant - Skilled/LTC

    Contract | Days | Onsite | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care Setting

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
    • Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
    • Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
    • Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy-related activities
    • Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
    • Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
    Required Qualifications
    • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
    • Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
    • Active and valid state PTA license
    • Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
    • Ability to follow clinical instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist
    • Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and care teams
    • Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with a diverse patient population
